Moving fast and slow
We all know we need to exercise and move our bodies more, but sometimes we are not in the mood. There are days when it can take a lot of energy to get up, put down your cup of tea, and choose something different.
Some days you will want (or need) to:
push yourself
rest
go back to basics
explore and question everything
ask for some gentle encouragement
sack off the yoga class
cycle up steep hills
run through freezing muddy puddles
do nothing
binge-watch Scandi crime dramas
Congratulations! You’re a completely normal human being.
This mini series will get you moving at your own pace
I couldn’t care less about how early you get up in the morning, how many times a week you practice, what shapes you can make, how long you meditate for, what you’re wearing, what you’re eating (or not eating).
I care about creating an environment where you can move in a way that feels best for your body and gives you enough space to pay attention to the things that matter.
Class 5: Circle and reach (21 minutes)
In the final class of the series, you’ll explore some movements for your neck, shoulders, and spine. Using a block to help you reach all the nooks and crannies, you’ll get your body twisting and turning in different directions.
Optional equipment:
2 yoga blocks, or books
